Quite a few days didn't blog already. So i'm gonna update now (:
Due to some internet connection problems, i can't be on9 in msn :/
That's why i can't blog too ):
But i can bog now as i am using laptop. My sis is watching tv, so i came t use awhile. Haas. Ok, lets start of with my SYF.
I went for SYF on 29`04`09. Actually, i have morning practice before the actual thing. But, i overslept, omg x.x! In the end i had to rush, but managed to reach at around 7am. But the morning practice was over. So i went to change out of my school uniform, and into my dress. Mine was supposed to be a blouse, but they made a mistake. So mine turn out to be a dress. I can't imagine how am i suppose to carry my double bass around in a dress. I scared that i might fall. The dress was like very long. I kept on steping on my dress while walking down the stairs. LOL. I managed to cary down my bass. Haas. Then we boarded the bus to Republic Polytechnic. I was like so afraid that i might not play well as i had not have my morning practice x.x When we reached there, we saw a group of boys. I'm not sure which school they were from. My teacher told us that she don't want us to go down and stat calling them waiters. LOLOL. Somehow, they do lok like waiters. LOL!! Oops. Their instrument cases were like damn nice okay! And the casing for theit double bass, there's wheels for them to pul it around. It's like so cool can. LOLOL. I'm jealous :x LOL! Before out turn to go on stage, we went into the tuning room first. After out instructors help us to tune our instruments, we had a little warm up as we could only stay in that room for 10mins, which we do not have much time left after tuning. The girl standing outside the room, "Okay, 10mins is up." This means we must get moving to the backstage already. Before us were a group of girls in black dress. After they open the backstage door for us, it was like 'our turn to perform'. So we lined up in order and went on stage. We played 2 songs. 'The Faraway Place' & 'The Dance Of Iscariot'. My bowing went abit wrong i the 2nd song. Omg las x.x! After we've performed, we went out of the theater to keep our instrumens. Our instructor. Mr Chua, told us that we did well. But we think that we hadn't played well. After which, we went in and watched some more schools to perform before we went for our break. In comparison, other schools were good. And other schools, majority of the students know how to do vigrato, which i don't even know how to. After out breack, we head back to school. My next leson was chinese, which is like boring.. We don't feel like going back for chinese class. So we walked one round back to class instead. LOLOL. After chinese were 2 periods of history x.x After school, only some went back to rp for the results. I went home. Around 8pm+ at night, i went to check with them for the results. We got bronze. We aimed for silver actually. But among alot of good schools, it's go that we managed to get bronze. Haas. And our school's strings ensemble was the first time in SYF. Haas.
Yesterday, during the morning assembly in the morning, our principal announced to the whole school that the performing arts group had done the school proud. And they were proud of us that we got bronze in SYF eventhough we were the first time participating. He said that bronze is as god as gold o.o Haas. (:
